Dr. Mallahan has been the director of the Hearing & Balance Lab, P.C. since 1995. He was born and raised in Everett and returned home to join Pacific Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic in 1982. Dr. Mallahan was instrumental in establishing the first county wide newborn hearing screening program 10 years ago here in the State of Washington. He is regionally recognized for his expertise in providing assessment and direction of rehabilitative care for patients with balance disorders.
Dr. Mallahan has been married for 27 years. He and his wife have 3 sons. He is an avid soccer fan and enjoys coaching, playing and refereeing in local soccer games. He is president of a local soccer club and of course, is a season ticket Sounders supporter. Dr. Mallahan’s greatest joy is serving children in Guatemala with medical mission teams through the Healing the Children organization.
Dr. Kingham joined the Hearing & Balance Lab in 2004. She has a passion for the Deaf community and an interest in neurotology. Dr. Kingham began her career at the University of Washington where she obtained a masters degree in Audiology. She received her doctorate from A.T. Still University. Dr. Kingham is known for her patience and persistence in obtaining the best possible outcome for those who come to The Hearing & Balance Lab for diagnosis or treatment of hearing loss.
Dr. Kingham hails from Arvada Colorado. She enjoys reading, watching movies and listening to great music. She and her husband have three beautiful children.
Dr. Caldwell has been in practice since 2000. She joined The Hearing & Balance Lab in 2007. A Seattle native, she earned her Masters degree from the University of Washington and then, received her clinical Doctorate from Salus University. She loves this field immensely and finds that helping people to optimize their hearing and listening is incredibly rewarding by use of the innovative technology available nowadays combined with communication strategies and auditory therapy. Outside of work, Dr. Caldwell enjoys a variety of activities with her husband and two young daughters including gatherings with family and friends and exploring the great Pacific Northwest in their fifth-wheel. She also loves gardening, boating, scrap booking, home-improvement projects and eating gourmet meals cooked by her husband.
Angel joined The Hearing & Balance Lab in 2003 with a degree in Business from Washington State University. She soon found her passion was helping people overcome hearing loss challenges and obtained her degree in Hearing Instrument Sciences. Angel now works as the Hearing Instrument Specialist.
Angel was born and raised on the Olympic Peninsula, but now resides in the greater Seattle area with her husband and daughter. Angel loves spending time with her friends and family, skiing with her husband, scrap booking, and teaching her daughter how to swim.
Ryan joined the Hearing & Balance Lab staff in July 2007 as the Audiology Assistant. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western Washington University where he focused on Audiology.
Ryan was born and raised in Edmonds, Washington. He enjoys spending his time with his family and friends, hiking, swimming, watching movies and listening to a variety of music.
Melissa joined the Hearing and Balance Lab staff in 2009 as the Audiology Assistant. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Sciences from Washington State University. Go Cougs!
Melissa grew up in Richland Washington and now resides in Lake Stevens with her husband Reggie and dog Sampson. She enjoys horse back riding, rafting, camping and sailing.
Jane joined The Hearing & Balance Lab in November of 2005, bringing with her seven years of medical reception experience. She was raised in Honolulu Hawaii and attended the University of Hawaii.
She married Glen in 1985 and settled in Marysville after her husband retired from 24 years of Naval service in 2002.They have two daughters and enjoy volunteering with the Marysville Strawberry Festival , camping, hiking and watching movies.
Anita Miller has been a great asset to The Hearing & Balance Lab since 2006. She is the friendly voice on the other side of the telephone and works diligently to keep our office running smoothly. Anita enjoys helping our patients receive the best care possible.
Anita is married to Dwight and has 2 sons and 4 grandchildren. Besides spoiling the grandkids, Anita and Dwight enjoy spending time at their cabin near the summit of Stevens Pass.
